Orchard Cottage has a lovely enclosed private rear garden making it ideal for families with young children or those travelling with four legged family members. There is a lovely large light beamed living room with dining area and a door leading directly out into the patio of the rear garden. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a separate utility room and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there is a large galleried landing with a window seat overlooking the Thatched roundhouse and a desk area leading to the king size sleigh bed in the master bedroom with private en suite bathroom. There is a lovely single bedroom with a sleigh bed and a further double bedroom sharing the family shower room. About the neighbourhood
All our guests have access to the 3 acres of the historic gated hamlet of Old Bridwell, adjacent to Lord Mountbatten 100 acre Bridwell Park Estate.
The listed walled garden with its cordons of apple trees and espaliers of pear and plum trees, is a haven in which to relax with spacious lawns and plenty of room for children to explore and play. The cottages have private patio, large porches and look onto the beautiful thatched round house which provides a communal seating area in the centre of the gated courtyard. There is also a large dog walking paddock, which is ideal for ball games and exploring the woodland with views onto the deer park.
Getting around
There is a bus stop on Bridwell Avenue a 2-minute walk from the cottages and there are buses to Tiverton Parkway train station which is a mainline train station running regular trains to London Paddington Penzance Bristol & Birmingham. The area is ideal for walking and cycling as well as those who enjoy horseriding canal boating and golf courses as the cottages are located in a 'Designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'
