The cottage is in a rural setting down narrow country lanes and a car is essential.
We are about 1 hour 50 from Bristol, about 55 mins from the end of the M5 near Exeter and 45 minutes from Plymouth which is the nearest ferry port.
The nearest mainline station is at Totnes - 20 minutes drive from cottage with trains direct from London Paddington and other parts of the country. There is a small airport at Exeter and a larger one at Bristol.
Travelling from other parts of the UK will mean you will probably use the M5 and then get on to the A38 - both have plenty of service stations.
Cheddar Gorge and Wookie Hole are interesting places to visit just off the M5 to break up the journey, as is Paignton Zoo.
