This delightful light and airy cottage, in the lovely peaceful village of Westwood, is just 2 miles from Bradford on Avon and close to the world heritage site of the city of Bath (7 miles).
Recently refurbished, it has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms - one brand new with bath and shower, one with shower toilet and sink.There is a very well equipped kitchen and the dining area opens on to a patio with small enclosed private garden and barbecue. . There is parking for two cars immediately in front of the cottage.
Relax in the comfortable sitting room, reading or watching widescreen TV with Netflix, after a day of sightseeing or enjoying the countryside. There are splendid walks right on the doorstep and further afield as well as bike hire near the canal basin at Bradford on Avon.

The laurels is a lovely detached cottage situated in a picturesque village. There is a local shop, post office and pub, as well as only being a very short drive to Sainsbury’s. The location is great and it’s only a short drive away from Bath....More

About the neighbourhood
In addition to the splendours of Bath you can also explore the lovely historical towns of Wiltshire: the unspoilt Georgian village of Lacock is just 11 miles, Longleat Safari Park is 13 miles,the ancient market town of Devizes is 15 miles away, Marlborough, with its famous college, is 20 miles, the historical town of Salisbury with its stunning cathedral that also houses the best preserved copy of Magna Carta is 30 miles . The world heritage site of Stonehenge on Salisbury plain is also within easy driving distance of 30 miles. Trout and coarse is fishing is available on the Avon, the Frome and the canal (advice on permits can be given) and books on local walks are provided in the cottage.
Getting around
There are many attractions within a 5 mile walk of the cottage and several books of local walks and cycle rides are provided in the cottage. The number 94 bus from and to Bath runs through the village on a Monday to Friday, and there are train stations at nearby Avoncliffe and Freshford, both with parking, which can take you to Bath and Bristol in one direction and Bradford on Avon in the other.

The cottage is easy to find in the village of Westwood . It is the first house on the left as you turn in to The Laurels. The postcode (BA15 2AX) will show the house on most satnavs and also the AA and RAC route finders. There are mainline stations at Bradford on Avon (3 miles) and Bath (7 miles) with branch lines at Freshford and Avoncliffe (both 1.5 miles).
