If you are looking for somewhere to stay that is different from all the rest, then the Stables accommodation with Hot tub, is for you. These converted stables are nearly 400 years old and now provide accommodation for up to 4 people. The conversion has been tastefully done retaining many of the original features which has created a French Gite type of experience. Maybe you are attending a wedding venue close by and need somewhere to stay. May a holiday out of it and prolong your stay! The Stables has a beautiful hot tub and patio with dining and seating area alongside. At 38c the Hot tub provides that special treat all year round. The property consists of one double bedroom with en-suite, one twin bedroom, kitchen/dining area in a light and airy conservatory overlooking the garden with views over open farmland. Access to the bathroom is through the main double bedroom. The second bedroom has an option of one or two single(s), or one large double bed depending on your requirements. . The south facing conservatory overlooks the secluded patio with hot tub, and garden with panoramic views of open country side towards the Black Mountains. The kitchen and dining area are in here with double doors opening onto the patio and garden where our guests can enjoy a BBQ, al fresco dining, or a quiet drink under the stars. The hot tub is private and is available through out the year. This is an ideal retreat for a peaceful romantic break, or a couple with two children. The décor is bright and fresh, with seating for up to four people. We provide a selection of books for you to enjoy as well as candles to help you create a romantic atmosphere. There is satellite TV/Radio, DVD; Wi-fi is freely available. Also provided is a washing machine and drying space; hair dryer, hair straighteners, iron and board; all bedding and towels included so no need to bring your own. Separate towels and dressing gowns are supplied for use in the Hot Tub. The property is aspected away from the owner's house so our guests have complete privacy; but we are always available to offer advice on places to visit or provide you with something you may have forgotten if you need us. Otherwise we leave you to enjoy the peace and quiet. We offer a welcome pack on arrival which includes items of your choice; a meal if you request it to be ready when you arrive late having travelled after work; or a meal during your stay if you want a quite night in and don't feel like cooking. We are here to make your stay as special as possible. Please ask when making your booking. The Forest of Dean is an area of outstanding natural beauty situated between the Rivers Wye and Severn. It has now become a popular location for film and TV crews including Star Wars, Atlantis and Doctor Who, to name but a few. There are opportunities to take part in activity sports such as canoeing, cycling or walking; visit areas of interest including Symonds Yat and Tintern Abbey or simply relax in some of the pubs and restaurants we recommend. We are happy to send you information on these and other highlights on request. We welcome pets too, so bring them with you so that you can explore the forest together. If you want to holiday with friends, try booking our other property, The Granary, (38011) and enjoy some privacy as well as friendship as you explore the area together. The Granary accommodates two people and can be found on this website page. We are available to help through out your stay and nothing is too much trouble. We will leave you alone to enjoy your break but are on hand should you need us. We will meet you at the property to hand over the keys and show you round to make sure that everything is as you expected. Our approach is friendly and welcoming coupled with respect for your privacy. There is information in the property which outlines things to do, where to go, including personalised maps, as well as details about the property and its history. We also provide an OS map to your walks to make sure you don't get lost!

This was our second visit to the wonderfully homely and hidden away gem that is the Stables. Within an hour you can be in Cirencester, Gloucester and the Brecon Beacons and a great place to return to at the end of the day. The Forest...More

We have just arrived back. What a wonderful stay. My husband, our children, the dog and myself had a lovely relaxing time. Very lovely hosts to. We have already enquirer for our next trip.

The Forest of Dean is a popular place for visitors who are looking to enjoy the Countryside. This includes, canoeing on the River Wye, surfing the Severn Bore, rock climbing, horse riding, mountain biking, model railway, the famous ;Go Ape; as well as two golf courses. Pedalabikeaway supplies a variety of bikes for hire, for long rides through the forest, and there are many historical places of interest, including several ancient castles. There is so much to see and do in the Forest of Dean!
