The private garden is beautifully kept and this home offers guests a unique combination of peaceful surroundings near to open countryside, the beautiful coastline and historical sites. The famous open-air living museum of Beamish, (the film set used for the new Downton Abbey movie), recreates early life in the North East and is just a short walk away and a fabulous day out. This tranquil property is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the idyllic Beamish Conservation Valley, beautiful woodlands and cycle/walking paths. Beamish boasts several fabulous gastro-pubs and Northumberland's sweeping sandy beaches and famous castles are within easy reach. For keen golfers, the beautiful Beamish Golf Club is a 5 minutes drive away. The details... The accommodation consists of a large orangery style living room with gas- 'wood burner', large windows and french doors to the private garden with seating areas. Spacious, well-equipped, open-plan contemporary kitchen/dining room with breakfast bar, granite worktops, Belfast sink and wooden and tiled floor. Light and airy orangery with additional dining area for 6. First floor: Two double bedrooms, master with Queen Sized 5ft bed, dressing room and en-suite bathroom with shower attachment and toilet. There is a separate bathroom with tiled walk-in shower and toilet. Pretty, secluded garden with outside eating areas. Walking distance to local gastropubs during the day (a short drive at night) which include The Black Horse, The Beamish Park Hotel, The Stables at Beamish Hall and the South Causey Inn. Shop/P.O ½ mile. What's in the area? The Beamish Valley is a beautiful conservation area with a picturesque river setting, woodland walks, cycle paths and the Tanfield Steam Engine Railway. Beamish has easy access to the northeast coast and the A1, which will take you further north towards the world famous Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick (Harry Potter was filmed at Alnwick Castle), and where a fabulous day out can be spent at the Heritage Coast, exploring the many historic castles at Bamburgh, Warkworth and Lindisfarne all set amongst unspoilt golden sandy beaches - stunning! If you like shopping the Metro Centre - one of the largest shopping centres in Europe is a 15-minute drive and for cricket fans, Durham County Cricket Club is also just a short drive away. The cottage is in an ideal location for exploring all the northeastern counties, while the vibrant cities of Newcastle and Durham with it's historical cathedral and river walks are a must see. More

Good location for Beamish & National Trust properties.Within walking distance to a very good Italian. Nice and clean & plenty of room for two couples. We spent a happy week there and could have stayed longer.

Fantastic rental home, very luxurious well equipped and very quiet location. Beamish living museum within walking distance as well as restaurants and pub. Ideal location for visiting other attractions close to property.

Superb spacious and homely house. Everything you could possibly need was provided. Lovely location with loads to do in the area. Beamish museum within walking distance and beautiful countryside within very easy driving distance.
