Note: The property staircase may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Note: In wintry conditions, vehicular access to the property can be difficult. Region: The ultimate in “year-round” appeal, the Peak District offers countryside, picturesque villages and magnificent scenery. It touches upon six counties and encloses 555 square miles of open moorland, flowing rivers, and wooded dales. Town: Wortley is north east of the Peak District National Park. The village offers restaurants and cafés including Wortley Hall and Gardens and the Wortley Arms. There is also a selection of shops. There are bridleways and footpaths as well as the golf course and horse riding centre. Nearby, Underbank, Langsett, and Derwent dams make for some interesting walks, whilst The Last of the Summer Wine village of Holmfirth is within reach. There is access to the Peak District for longer walks, mountain biking and all the attractions of Hathersage, Bakewell, Edale and the Ladybower Dam.More
