This holiday cottage was a perfect base for a one week holiday in County Mayo and had everything we (a mature couple) needed. The ever changing view (reflecting the varied weather and tidal flow) from the living room (upstairs) across to Croagh Patrick was mesmerising....More

Beautiful location near Achill Island, which we visited on more than one occasion, and very convenient being close to The Mulranny Park Hotel where the bar food was excellent. Splendid view from the well appointed house.

Nice clean house with lovely view upstairs. Unfortunately you have to pay for the internet which costs a lot. It states in the guidebook that €10 should be sufficient for a week which is totally unrealistic. Other guests have also reiterated same in the guest...More

Electricity is charged at €8 per day from 1st Sept till end May and €4 per day for the rest of the year and is payable on arrival. Wifi is charged on pay as you go basis. Pets - one small well behaved dog is acceptable only when agreed in advance with the host. Pets are not accepted during high seasons and bank holidays. A fee of €35 is charged for each pet. Clew Bay is surrounded by the Nephin mountains and attractive waterways which will lure the hill walker and mesmerise the photographer and artist with their beauty . It's ideal for walkers of all abilities. Marked loop walks start at Mulranny Pier and Tiernaur (5 km opp. Nevin's pub) ranging from 5km, 7km up to 25km. Mulranny loop, Letterkeen loop, Lettermaghera loop, Burrishoole trail are names of just a few.

The Western Greenway off road cycle/ track 42km is a huge attraction. It is unique in Ireland. It starts from Achill Island and follows beautiful Clew Bay to Westport offering wonderful coastal, mountain and lake scenes. It can be done in sections by arrangement with the local bicycle hire company which will shuttle you back to your base.
