Saint-Victor-la-Coste, Gard, Occitanie
Beautifully restored maison de village in Languedoc Roussillon, in the South of France. 'Maison Mirabelle' is located in the hilltop village of St Victor La Coste. Surrounded by the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone, the village is only 20 minutes from the famous red wines of Chateauneuf du Pape and the rosé wines of Tavel. It is also within easy reach of Uzes, (22 kms to the west), Avignon (25 kms to the southeast), and Orange (25 kms to the northeast).

The village of Saint Victor La Coste, first established near the start of the 11th century and still dominated by the striking ruins of a medieval castle, offers the chance to take in all that is Provence – the sun, the breathtaking scenery, the neighbouring quaint towns, the festivals and brocantes, the historic monuments and ruins – while remaining a tranquil and authentic south...

About the neighbourhood
A significant legacy of St. Victor la Coste is its medieval heritage when it was ruled by the Sabran family who were vassals to the Count of Toulouse and participated in the Crusades. The seigneur de Sabran built extensive fortifications around the castle at the top of the village. Known locally as 'Le Castellas', the fortified castle of St. Victor was the defensive strong point of the Sabran domain and had a reputation for being impregnable. It is now a wonderful destination for a picnic, offering amazing panoramic views of the hills (garrigues) and village below.
