Of all our two storey sea front houses, 75a is the only one to have had the lounge on the mezzanine floor converted into a third bedroom. Glass fronted with an electronic blackout blind for when privacy is required but most alluring is the prospect of waking up to views of the ocean from the comfort of your bed. Also the double and kingsize bedrooms have the addition of large flat screen TV's and the the twin has a TV with DVD player so the children can amuse themselves first thing whilst you lie in. The large kitchen is fitted with an electric cooker and gas hob, dish washer, washing machine/ tumble dryer, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer. Duvets, pillows and linen are provided. You will enjoy beautiful views of the large lawned areas and managed gardens with the ocean beyond. Picnic benches are also situated throughout the site with a perfect BBQ area at the bottom of the slope towards the promenade, managed by the local council. Regrettably no pets are allowed on any part of the site. Overlooking 2 miles of sandy beach and the rolling waves of the Atlantic Ocean sits Golden Bay Holiday Village in picturesque Westward Ho! Surrounded by well kept gardens and spacious lawns, Golden Bay maintains a peaceful, tranquil atmosphere. Step free with ample parking, on site laundry and a child safe play area, all our properties are ideal for a couples escape or family holiday by the sea. We are only a short walk along the promenade (situated at the bottom of our site) from the restaurants, cafes, shops and amenities that this part of the North Devon coastline has to offer and are also walking distance to the beach. With the Tors, Tarka Trail, Royal North Devon Golf Club, Westward Ho! Tennis Courts and 2 miles of sandy beach, Golden Bay Holiday Village is an ideal retreat for walkers, surfers, cyclists, horse riders, golfers and tennis amateurs. For those less keen to venture out and about, have no fear as many of our chalets and sea front houses offer great views down to the long sandy beach of Bideford Bay across the Torridge estuary, towards Saunton and Baggy Point and on a clear day, Lundy Island. We can easily make arrangements for those arriving after office hours, with management and maintenance living on site. Our team are all local to North Devon and have great recommendations regarding nearby family activities, walks off the beaten path or picturesque must see villages. About the neighbourhood
Westward Ho! is located alongside two miles of sandy beach, from which we are just a five minute walk along the promenade. The village itself has many independent shops, eateries, pubs and mini supermarkets. We are on the South West Coast Path which will take you along breathtakingly stunning walks from along to the nice and gentle Cornborough Hills or a five hour hike to Clovelley. Bring or rent a bike and take advantage of the Tarka trail, 32 miles of former railway which has been converted to a cycle friendly route an ever-changing variety of some of the wonderful Devon scenery, including tranquil countryside, wooded river valleys, rugged moorland and dramatic coast.
Getting around
Within a short drive of our site their are many family attractions, activities and picturesque villages, many great examples are available on our website. There are regular buses to each of these destinations passing through Westward Ho! and with Barnstaple station less than 10 miles away, a day trip to Exeter or beyond is incredibly easy.
