Our New England style house has prime position at Golden Bay Holiday Village. Situated right on the seafront, sitting high above the promenade, you have uninterrupted views across the bay and out to sea.

A double height living space brings all the light in to the open plan kitchen/ diner with a door leading off onto a large private decked area.

On the ground floor the twin bedroom with ensuite leads off the main living room. On the first floor is the master bedroom, family bathroom and a mezzanine floor with a sofa bed.

There is a brand new children's play area on the park, also large and well maintained lawns and gardens and private sloped access right on to the promenade.

Wifi is available to purchase from reception and there is an onsite launderette for our guests to use.

Our team will be here to welcome you between 9 - 5 in our brand new reception situated at the top of the park. We can easily make arrangements for those arriving after office hours, with management and maintenance living on site.

Our team are all local to North Devon and have great recommendations regarding nearby family activities, walks off the beaten path or picturesque must see villages. We also have many ideas on our website to help you make the most of your time in Westward Ho!

Beautiful house on well kept small holiday park, right beside the sea. This particular house has a balcony and large floor to ceiling windows giving the most amazing sea views. With just a few beach huts below, and then a wide promenade before the sea wall, there is no traffic.

A gentle ramp down to the promenade, makes this very suitable for anyone with mobility problems. My 84 year old mother came with us on holiday, and the downstairs bedroom plus ensuite shower were perfect for her. Just 3 steps in between kitchen and living room, which she did just about manage. Lots of restaurants, Tesco Express, Co-Op, chemist, beach shop and surfing places within 5 minute stroll along the flat promenade.

Golden Bay holidays keep the grounds in tip top condition with regular grass mowing. It is well lit in the evening, with clean paths leading around all of the chalets and houses. We didn't hear a single noise from anyone the whole of our stay. Baby rabbits play on the grass...

We picked the accommodation from the website but the pictures didn't do it justice. It had everything you could want from it. The view from decking was of the sea, siting and watching the tide come in and out was lovely. It was a short walk from the shops and restaurants. The site was clean and well kept.

About the neighbourhood
Westward Ho! is located alongside two miles of sandy beach, from which we are just a five minute walk along the promenade.
The village itself has many independent shops, eateries, pubs and mini supermarkets.
We are on the South West Coast Path which will take you along breathtakingly stunning walks from along to the nice and gentle Cornborough Hills or a five hour hike to Clovelley. Bring or rent a bike and take advantage of the Tarka trail, 32 miles of former railway which has been converted to a cycle friendly route an ever-changing variety of some of the wonderful Devon scenery, including tranquil countryside, wooded river valleys, rugged moorland and dramatic coast.
Getting around
Within a short drive of our site their are many family attractions, activities and picturesque villages, many great examples are available on our website.

There are regular buses to each of these destinations passing through Westward Ho! and with Barnstaple station less than 10 miles away, a day trip to Exeter or beyond is incredibly easy.

By Car:
From M5 take junction 27 then A361 and follow this road to Barnstaple.

Turn left on the A39 to Bideford and after approximately 10 miles you go over the new bridge, straight over the next roundabout, then approximately 1.5 miles take the turning on the right B3236 for Westward Ho!

Follow this road down the steep hill and round the sharp bend and immediately turn left into Merley Road. Our entrance is on the right.

By Train:
Barnstaple station is less than ten miles away with buses and taxis available to take you to the village of Westward Ho!

We have plenty of onsite parking for all our guests.
