There is a modern Kitchen/Diner, which is equipped with a gas cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and radio with CD player. The Lounge, with its cosy log burning stove, digital TV and DVD player, provides an ideal space for relaxation or playing some of the board games provided.

There are two large bedrooms one with a double bed and the other a twin room both with ensuite shower, toilet and hand basin facilities.

For large gatherings of 12 all three cottages at Low Farm can be booked. The Farm House, Cottage and Croft.

I booked this cottage for the quiet and I certainly got that! The only sound in the evening was insects. We enjoyed the bird feeder right by the front door, and as keen wildlife spotters we were not disappointed with owl and roe deer sightings....More

Peaceful,lovely weather,loved watching the wildlife,loads of birds on the feeders after i cleaned them and filled them up.Beautiful location,dogs loved it.Clean,tidy,all you needed for lovely holiday.

Very good reception when we arrived, bottle of wine waiting for us, everything clean and tidy. The cottage is well appointed, including a wood burner (which we didn't use, it being June). Beds are comfortable and a cosy duvet which was more than adequate. Parking...More

Rosedale is home to Rosedale Abbey, a Cistercian Priory founded in 1158 and now just a staircase, sundial and single stone pillar. The Priory was founded by a small group of nuns who are credited with the first commercial sheep farm in the area. Low Farm is located in Rosedale about 10 miles to the North of Pickering and about 40 miles from York.By road:From the A170 Helmsley to Scarborough Road, take the left hand turning through Wrelton signposted Cropton, Hartoft and Rosedale. Take the next left signposted Hartoft - mind the sharp narrow left hand bend at the top of Wrelton. Keep following the road through Cropton and continue, following the road down the hill and over the bridge until you reach the Black Smith Country Inn (currently closed). Continue past the no through road sign.
