About the neighbourhood
Close to the sea but in the heart of Devonshire countryside, Marsh Cottage is in an ideal location for adults and children alike. The cottage is in a wonderful location in the peaceful hamlet of Lovacott. Yet only three miles from Barnstaple and the A39 Atlantic Highway; it is very easy to find and terrifically convenient for exploring the whole of North Devon (if you can drag yourself away from the cottage and garden!). The quiet hamlet of Lovacott is a friendly place and lies one mile from Newton Tracey offering a very good family pub which accepts dogs. The Tarka Trail is fantastic cycling for all the family. It boasts 30 miles of cycle track – which follows an old railway line and hosts beautiful river views. It is ideal for families and novices as well as the keener cyclists. www.devon.gov.uk/tarkatrail
