Avelin cottage is just 1.5 miles from Branard Castle, we are in open countryside, wonderful views, the cottage is right next to our home called Kirkstone, which is a converted Chapel, we are not on a main road, and so not a lot of trafic, we do have a bus service every 2 hours through the day down to Barnard Castle, the nearest Pup is 1 mile away takes 20 mins to walk, but that is a main road and very busy.
Getting around
You need a car, we have a bus route into Barnard Castle every 2 hours but only through the day
