Completely renovated in 2010, 19th Century stone built cottage in Callander offering flexible accommodation for up to 7. Situated at the quieter end of the main street (Away from main shops, restaurants and bars) with parking at the door and a short walk to local amenities. Fairhill Cottage was built in about 1870 and is located at the quieter end of the main street in Callander (Away from main shops, bars etc.). This makes for a convenient location with street parking at the door yet only a few minutes walk to all that Callander has to offer. This makes for a convenient location with street parking at the door yet only a few minutes walk to all that Callander has to offer. The cottage was completely refurbished in 2010 and offers flexible accommodation for up to seven sleeping in a double bedroom, a twin room with extra bed if required and a double sofa bed downstairs. The cottage offers a dining room and a separate living room equipped with freesat TV. Guests are provided with towels and bedding and the price includes all heating (gas) and power. At the rear of the cottage up some steps is a small garden equipped with table and chairs with views of Ben Ledi and Callander Crags. The cottage is a non-smoking property and allows well behaved, non-moulting pets to stay by prior arrangement. Free WiFi is available to all guests. Callander is situated in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park allowing easy access to many of the Parks attractions whilst still being less than an hour away from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh. Historic Stirling is just 25 minutes drive away and further afield Glencoe, Oban and Fort William are all less than 2 hours away. For those with an interest in golf, Gleneagles is a mere 35 minutes away and St Andrews, Carnoustie, Turnberry and Troon are all less than 2 hours drive. We do ask that guests arrive after 3PM and leave by 10 to allow us time to clean the cottage and get ready for our next arrivals.

Basic, unkempt, parking problems, needs basic maintenance. Wifi spotty. Couldn’t recommend to others. On the positive side, well located, a lot to do and seein the area.More

How I wish I had come across previous reviews before booking. We were so disappointed in Fairhill Cottage. After a seven hour journey it would have been nice to arrive and have a welcome tray with tea bags etc awaiting you. No such luck. The...More

Callander is situated in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park allowing easy access to many of the Parks attractions whilst still being less than an hour away from the cities of Glasgow and Edinburgh.  Historic Stirling is just 25 minutes drive away and further afield Glencoe, Oban and Fort William are all less than 2 hours away. For those with an interest in golf, Gleneagles is a mere 35 minutes away and St Andrews, Carnoustie, Turnberry and Troon are all less than 2 hours drive.
Getting around
A car is recommended for getting around although many of our guests arrive from Stirling by bus and spend their time without a car just walking in and around callander. All of callander's shops, hotels and restaurants are within walking distance as are walks along the River Teith, Bracklinn falls etc.
