It is suitable for email and internet browsing but not gaming or video streaming. The area is ideal for walking, cycling and fishing (see below) and also offers plenty of scope for cultural or history enthusiasts. Explore Outlander and Outlaw/King country with a visit to medieval Doune Castle (the on-screen Castle Leoch and Douglas Castle) less than 30 minutes away or Stirling where the Castle, royal residence and ancient military stronghold, and the iconic Wallace Monument, are both around 40 minutes away. After a day of walking or sight-seeing, relax with a glass of wine or freshly-brewed coffee on the patio, or take a two-minute walk to the pub. If you prefer not to cook your own meal in our full-sized kitchen, there is a wide range of restaurants in Callander, 15 minutes away. Guests are welcome to enjoy our bluebell woods and riverbank, where you might spot red squirrels, pine martens or deer, but because our grounds are not enclosed and there is open water nearby, we ask that children are supervised at all times and dogs kept on a lead.More
