The Smiddy is a unique house, a converted woollen mill fully modernised with many special architectural features. Suitable for upto six adults and two children and one infant maximum. Downstairs consists of flagstone hallway, entrance, dining and kitchen area with a large spacious king size family bedroom with en suite and 2 single beds if you need to have children in the room with you, and a family bathroom which includes a large sunken spa aromatherapy bath and a double bedroom..There is also a laundry room with washer and drier. Upstairs at the Smiddy there is a spacious living area with a wood burning stove and panoramic windows also located in the living room is a juke box. There is a second king size room which can be converted to a twin room bedroom to suit your requirements. Outside there is parking available for 2 small cars or 1 large vehicle.There is alternative parking available if required. The Smiddy is very central St Magnus Cathedral and the town center full of local shops only a short stroll away. More

We were five adults visiting family here for a week. The house is well situated ust a short walk to all amenities. Everything you could think of was in the house to use in the kitchen. The area is quiet and there are some lovely...More

The Smiddy is a lovely modernised and slightly unusual house with parking and only a couple of minutes walk from the pedestrianised shopping street in Kirkwall. Good size rooms - and a large sitting room upstairs. Very warm.

Great location, just a short walk into town. Spacious light accommodation with good facilities, clean and tidy. We especially appreciated the welcome box of local goodies.
