Very well equipped self catering cottage, comfortable and cosy. Peaceful location with beautiful forest and lake walks. Great place to relax and unwind. (The shower took some getting used to though...)

About the neighbourhood
Oakwood is situated in the heart of the midlands on a country lane in North Tipperary. Although set in the heart of rural Ireland and tranquility you're never far away away from tons of activities as it lies 18km west of Roscrea, 10km south of Birr and 22km north of Nenagh. For golfing enthusiasts, there are four excellent 18 hole courses within 18km. A short drive to the historic and beautiful town of Birr which is one of Ireland's finest examples of a Georgian Town. It is a virtually intact 18th century town, hosting one of the world's largest telescopes in the grounds of Birr Castle, along with many Irish pubs and quality Irish restaurants. The famous Burren and the West Coast is only a 2 hour drive, as is Dublin and world famous Wicklow.
