About the neighbourhood
There's SO much to see and do in Cowal that it would be hard to list it all here - so if you would like more information on the region, just let me (Katie) know!
Getting around
We're lucky that there's a great bus service with a bus stop only a couple of minutes walk from the cottage. The bus runs into the town of Dunoon and to lots of beautiful local villages, and there's even a dedicated stop at the breathtaking Botanic Gardens.

If you're travelling by car then there are a huge number of possibilities for days out and sightseeing - just let me (Katie) know if you'd like any suggestions.

Airport: Glasgow Airport: 50.0 km
Ferry: Argyll Ferries: 8.0 km
The Snug is only an hour from Glasgow, yet feels like a world away. Located in a quiet lane, in the small village of Innellan, just 4 miles south of the popular tourist town of Dunoon, The Snug is easily reached from Glasgow by road or ferry.

Western Ferries operate a regular car service from Gourock and discounted tickets can be purchased in advance from their website.

It's also easy to reach The Snug by public transport. Regular trains run from Glasow to Gourock, where they meet Argyll Ferries. This is a foot-passenger only service from Gourock to Dunoon, where a bus from the ferry terminal takes you to within a couple of minutes of The Snug!

A longer, but stunning, alternative route is to drive along the A82 north of Glasgow as far as Tarbet, followed by the A83 over the 'Res...
