Im just back from the lodge this weekend which we hired for a friends birthday. We hired upper/lower as there was a crowd. Place was amazing clean towels on all the beds even had a bottle of chardonnay in each lodge. The place is spacious...More

Accommodation was excellent. We had both the upper and lower lodge so we could all be together. Easy to get to and pleasant to stay in. Could do with more plugs near mirrors. Its impossible, in any of the rooms, to dry your hair looking...More

About the neighbourhood
The ferry trip across the Firth of Clyde is a fine introduction to the Cowal Peninsula. To the north the mountains surrounding the sea lochs of Long and Goil provide a stunning backdrop as the ferry arrives at the busy town of Dunoon, Cowal's principal community. Built around two sheltered bays, and with wonderful views over the water, Dunoon is also the seaboard gateway to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.

Dunoon is the lively gathering place for the whole Cowal area. The town offers a museum and leisure centre as well as a fascinating selection of craft shops, galleries, and cafes. The opportunity to take a pleasure cruise amidst the breath-taking coastal scenery of the Firth of Clyde should not be missed.
