Byngley House is a handsome 3 bedroom cottage built in 1567 by Thomas Byngley, the Mayor of Poole. Having been sympathetically restored over the years, the house oozes charm, romance and history and in one! A truly unique property with original features including its stone Elizabethan fireplaces and oak central stairwell with dumb waiter (now storage). Rumoured to have had Oliver Cromwell do business with his parlimentarians at Byngley during the Civil War, the property is well known in the area by many and has a wealth of history to absorb.

The property was stunning and really felt like home from home. the ares was okay I was expecting to see more seafood stalls and shops. The beach in sandbanks is absolutely amazing. Would definitely visit again.

If you're umming and ahhhhing about whether to book it, just do it. The location is fabulous, the cottage is stunning and the owner is just so accommodating, all in all I / we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you very much Julia, I'm so glad you restored this treasure xx

Great treat to have had this experience of accommodation .. location gets a big thumbs up .. tour bus and boat very handy transport .. helpful house owner .. nothing too much trouble .. perfect break in lovely Dorset .. many thanks x
