Lovely house with everything you need (photos don't do it justice) really felt like home from home. Beautiful private garden with a great pool and everything well maintained. Lovely quiet location perfect for cycling/walking etc with lots of pretty villages and markets nearby to visit....More

About the neighbourhood
The location is great for country walks and cycling due to it's low traffic and quiet lanes nearby. Ideally located not far from the local market towns of Riberac and Chalais. Spoilt for choice you have many little towns, villages and chateau's near to us like the beautiful town of Auberterre with it's stunning square and many cafes, restaurants, little shops and a great beach on the river Dronne offering fantastic kayaking. The quaint village of Saint Aulaye is less than 10 mins away with it's lovely boulangeries, beach, bars, restaurants and river location. Also La Jemaye lake, an area of natural beauty, where you can walk in the pine trees, swim in the lake, cycle and explore or simply just sit and relax with a coffee or glass of wine.

Further afield you have Brantome 50 mins, Perigueux 55 mins, Saint Emilion 55 mins, Bordeaux 1.5 hrs, Royan 1.5 hrs, Cognac 1.5 hrs, Arcachon 1.5 hrs, Sarlat 2hrs, Cap Ferret 2.5 hrs.
