A beautifully restored fisherman's cottage with generous living space, two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and its own private patio garden with table, chairs & bbq, perfect for outside dining/relaxing. It has great character and modern amenities in a beautiful setting.

The cottage interior has been totally renovated using locally sourced materials and has many character features including high ceilings with exposed wooden beams. The floors are terracotta tile and wood throughout. The kitchen is hand built with a solid oak worktop, inbuilt hob and cooker, sink, fridge.The sitting area has a very comfortable large sofa and there is also a big plump bean bag to sink into.There is a TV screen for watching DVDs, a selection of films is always available. There is a stereo with cd player and iPod dock and free WiFi.The 2 bedrooms are light, bright and airy with wooden floors, and the bathrooms are beautifully presented, one with a shower and the other with a shower and bath. A solar system ensures a plentiful supply of hot water.

Situated at the end of the land right on the Atlantic Oceanand named by the Romans Promontorium Sacrum, Sagres has always been referred to as The end of the World it is easy to see why it earned this name perched at the far western end of Europe and set above the endless sea.This friendly town has much to offer. Best of all incredible and varied beaches.Historically the Fortaleza is where Henry the Navigator set up his sailing school. From here it is claimed Christopher Columbus and Vasco da Gama set sail to discover the unknown world. You can visit the fort for a few euros and admire the amazing views and ancient compass set into the stone floor.

Public transport is available with a taxi from the airport to the train station. A train to Lagos then a bus to Sagres.
A private taxi all the way from Faro to Sagres will cost about €100.
