For a relaxing city break with a difference, stay aboard this wonderful houseboat, in the city center of Amsterdam, just off the beaten path but only five minutes away from the central station by tram. The Tante Piet is very bright and clean and has beautiful water views al around. The location describes it self the best like a village like style boat street, it is a very green street and making a bonfire and BBQ is most appreciated and highly recommended. At night it is quiet, sleeping onboard is an amazing experience. In summertime enjoy breakfast in the sunny garden or in wintertime enjoy the homely fire. The kitchen and shower will be shared with the super relaxed lady owner, Sietske. Don't worry, she is really super laid back and there are no specific rules. Your booking includes bed linen, towels, breakfast supplies for the first morning, coffee and tea making facilities, Wi-Fi, firewood and a city map. It is so nice to have a drink at the kitchen table in front of the homely log burner, or breakfast in the sunny garden; living like a real Amsterdammer. A canal motor boat is for rent. You don't need a license, it is like driving a car. Exploring the canals by your selfs will be a very beautiful and special experience and it will be memory for the rest of your life. On your arrival Sietske will draw on a map lots of tips and nice places for you to go to you. A lovely walk away you will be in the famous Jordaan area. Full of unique vintage shops, cafe's and neighborhood markets. Please note that the central heating is a wood burner and there are additional electric heaters. Very much looking forward welcoming you on board. Kindest regards, SietskeMore

What better way to experience Amsterdam than staying on a houseboat. We were staying for my good friends 50th birthday and it was a real treat. Thank you Sietske, we’ll be back.
