The Jordaan is well known for its special atmosphere, local cafes/bars and many styles of restaurants. The best Dutch apple cake is just around the corner. Enjoy the local scenery and return to your Home Away from Home. DB's is actually a spacious and cosy one-bedroom apartment. The bedroom comprises a twin/double bed, TV/DvD, and adjoining luxury bathroom. A top mattress creates a very comfortable double bed and the bed can be separated to form a twin. There are two comfortable, foldout beds in the living room, suitable for our younger guests. A baby cot is also available. The bedroom leads out onto a sunny balcony and roof terrace where you can enjoy the surrounding area. The bathroom is equipped with linen and towels and a variety of toiletries, and a hair dryer. Free Wifi access and a computer is available for guests. The entire apartment has been renovated and is in excellent condition. In the living room there are two modern stools which foldout into very comfortable beds. These are very suitable for young people and short stays. We also offer guests a kitchen to prepare breakfast. For B&B guests, the refrigerator is stocked with all you need to start on your self-service breakfast. Special requirements can also be catered for. Our friendly staff will be happy to offer travel information and assist you in any way to make your stay more enjoyable. Our map of Amsterdam, and our knowledge of the city will point you in the right direction. We can arrange a private tour of the Jordaan and surrounding area and visit some of the hidden gems. In the summer, we can organise a private boat tour through the canals, with drinks and snacks, giving you a view of Amsterdam of the past. And, as an extra treat for our guests, when you are booking, let us know if you would like a bottle of wine or a surprise gift! Close to: Dam Square, Anne Frank House Just around the corner: the Monday (textile and bric a brac) and Saturday (food and organic) markets, great cafes and a variety of restaurants, stylish and trendy shops. Amsterdam is an intimate, walking city with good public transport.More

About the neighbourhood
The Jordaan area of Amsterdam offers a real flavour of the city. It is a residential area with points of local history, and a choice of shops (super)markets, restaurants and cafés. See the different styles of architecture and visit the Hofjes, hidden behind the streets. Enjoy a reasonably priced meal at one of the café restaurants, or take out an excellent Indonesian meal, or book at table at one of the many restaurants, all within a short walk. The 'Nine Streets' district is a short walk where you can visit a great variety of shops featuring local designs.
Getting around
Amsterdam is a walking city. Nothing is far away. The canal hop-on hop-off boat is only 5 minutes from here and will take you past the major sights.
