About the neighbourhood
Portofino placed in a natural marina is perfect fpr love, dream and relax. The Piazzetta is always full of people, and you feel as if you're in your living room. There are typical restaurants serving especially fish and many luxury boutiques. Wonderful is walk in the natural park or take the path that leads to Paraggi through a forest of oaks with cliff views. The Tigullio Gulf is a succession of breathtaking bays as Portofino, Paraggi, the roadstead of Santa Margherita Ligure, San Michele di Pagana and the Gulf of Rapallo up to Zoagli.
Getting around
-Camogli occupies the valley to the west of Portofino, overlooking the Golfo Paradiso. It's a typical fishing village, a tourist center known for its harbor and the colorful buildings along the mare. Camogli is famous throughout Europe as the 'City of the Thousand White Sailing Ships'. His extraordinary sailing tradition is in fact one of the more notable tourist attractions. -Cinque Terre are a national park, one of the least contaminated natural areas of the Mediterranean. The human activities, especially the wine growing and the 'dry walls', have create a landscape that is unique in the world. All of this together with a crystalline sea have made the Cinque Terre the favored destination for both Italian and foreign tourists.
