Trastevere Terrace at Porta Portese

Condo/Apartment -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 4
Rome, Lazio
We recently renovated our large, high-ceiling apartment on viale Trastevere, and split it into two independent units, accessed via a shared hallway. The guest apartment has a spacious living room with a fully equipped open kitchen, a cozy bedroom, and a brand new bathroom with a large shower. Featuring two great terraces (South and East!) with tables and chairs, perfect for sunbathing, dinner parties or quiet drinks at the end of a touristic marathon around Rome.

You will have exclusive access to the guest apartment (546 ft2) and the two attached terraces (605 ft2). Enjoy any number of vices on the terrace, including a cigarette, but please no smoking inside the house.

Due to our strategic position near tram line #8 and the Metropolitan Railway Ring, you'll find yourself in an ideal place to make a home base in Rome; enjoy the close...

I wanted a place near the Trastevere train station, which offers easy connections to the airport and the cruise port, while avoiding the main Rome train station. This apartment was close to the station and quiet. Between the tram that goes across the Tiber and...More

About the neighbourhood
Trastevere is Rome's most popular, as well as cosmopolitan neighborhood, famous for its bars, restaurants and pizzerias. On Sunday morning, at Porta Portese, find antiques, clothing and any piece of Gypsy crap your heart desires.

After a wakeup cappuccino in a nearby cafe, you'll realize that only a few tram stops separate you from central Rome's uninterrupted sequence of monuments. Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Venezia, the Colosseum can all be reached by tram, bus or both, within 15-30 minutes. And the Vatican, (yes, it really is a different state) with its wonderful Museum and the Sistine Chapel, it's just a 10 minutes train ride away on the Metropolitan Railway FM3.

If you are keen on cooking during your holiday, there's plenty of groc...

How to get there
Due to our strategic position near tram line #8 and the Metropolitan Railway Ring, you'll find yourself in an ideal place to make a home base in Rome; enjoy the closeness of the city center without the hustle and bustle of the main touristic areas.

If you're arriving at Fumicino airport, save a bundle by taking the train FM1 from inside the airport to Stazione Trastevere (8 Euros instead of 48 by cab) and from there it's merely a five minute walk.

For those arriving at Termini, Rome's main railway station, an 18 Euro cab fare is about right. Alternatively, take the bus #170 and get off at Pascarella for 1.50 Euros.

A relatively cheap parking garage is located on viale Trastevere, between the apartment and the Trastevere Station. Free parking spaces are available along th...
