Alhambra Hill, Apartment A

Visited by Tripadvisor
Condo/Apartment -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 3
Granada, Province of Granada, Andalucia
One of two apartments we converted in 2009. Our privileged central position really will allow you to make the most of your stay in Granada. Plaza Nueva is the historic centre of the city, situated between the Alhambra and the Albayzin (the old Moorish quarter). Although not far from the hustle and bustle of the centre and the cathedral, the property nestles in a residential pedestrian street beneath the outer wall of the Alhambra close to its woods. It is a tranquil neighbourhood where bird song replaces car horns! Note that we are situated on the Alhambra Hill with 50 steps up to the house, so if you have mobility problems, our apartment is probably not for you!!!

Alhambra Hill, Apartment A is a no-frills, modestly-priced option in a city with many over-priced tourist hotels. What you get is pretty much what you see advertised on TripAdvisor. If you do not require luxury, the apartment will be fine. What you can't see is...More

About the neighbourhood
Granada's history and natural beauty make it one of the most interesting cities to visit. The incredible Alhambra, with its fortress, palaces and gardens, is the crowning monument to the 700 year Moorish presence in Andalucia. But the Alhambra is just one of many historical sites in Granada. The beautiful churches, monasteries, palaces and gardens are too numerous to describe here! However, it is not only the individual monuments that are Granada's attraction. To simply wander through the ancient Moorish quarters of the Albayzin and Realejo is a treat in itself! Add to this the fact that the 500 year old University's 60,000 students lend a young and vital aspect to Granada's character. The vibrant night-life, the numerous tapas bars, live flamenco and other music, are not t... more
Getting around
The central historic area of Granad where we are situated is a relatively small area and is accessible by foot. This really is the best way to appreciate Granada, with stunning views and beautiful streets and buildings around every corner!! Having said that, bring suitable footware, because many of the alley ways are cobbled, and Granada is a hilly city.
If you don't feel up to walking everyware, there is a small sized public bus that could take you up to the Albayzin and there is also a 'get off and on' mini toursit 'train'.
Car not needed
How to get there
Airport: Granada: 25.0 km
Railway: Granada: 2.0 km
You do not need a car to visit Granada as we are so centrally situated. Besides, there is no access in private vehicle to our part of the city: the historic centre. If you do come by car to Granada we can recommend a well priced Car Park close to the city ring road, and just a short taxi drive up to the apartments.
Note that there are direct coaches that leave from Malaga airport up to Granada.
If you arrive at Granada airport you can catch a taxi to the apartments or take the airport shuttle to the Cathedral in the centre of the city. (From there a 10min walk up hill to the apartments)

Fishing Nearby, There Is A Golf Course Within 30 Mins Drive, Nearest Beach: 70.0 km.
