Vila 2 is a beautiful, 2 bedroom duplex apartment (plus an additional open mezzanine bedroom) on the top two floors of a traditional Chamonix building. The lower floor comprises an open plan living and dining area with a double sofa-bed, a kitchen, a twin bedroom, a shower room with toilet and a second full bathroom (also with a toilet). On the upper level there is a further twin bedroom and an open mezzanine room (the beds in each bedroom can be pushed together if required to make a double bed). The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to make self-catering easy. There is no lift in the building and so a walk up three levels of stairs is required to reach the front door of the apartment.

Interaction with guests
Most of the time, we will not be available in Chamonix during the time of the guest's stay. However, Snostation are the company who help us with managing the property when we are not there and they have a permanent office location less than five minutes from the apartment. They can also offer additional holiday services such as organising ski passes, transfers, etc which can help with the ease of planning your trip. They will be in touch with you as part of confirming your booking.

I stayed for 6 days in January with a group of 5 males and we all thought Vila 2 was brilliant. Incredibly spacious and exactly what we needed. I would definitely stay here again and have already recommended to friend and family. 5*

A comfortable and well equipped apartment in a central location. A short walk to shops, restaurants and attractions. The owner and management company were extremely helpful answering queries before our stay. Definitely recommended and would stay here again.

The apartment is furnished to a high standard with modern furniture and design throughout. There is a TV, DVD player, Playstation, iPod speakers and Wi-Fi access. The apartment has a private cave for ski storage and it is allocated a secure underground parking space - a rarity in such a central location. There are beautiful views from three sides of the apartment including three windows all looking up to Mont Blanc. Tthe apartment has its own washing machine and there is plenty of hanging space to dry items or there is a full self-service launderette near the entrance to the apartment block.

About the neighbourhood
Skiing and Snowboarding: Chamonix is one of the worlds most famous ski areas, having hosted the first Winter Olympics in 1924. Skiers and snowboarders of all levels are well-served in a variety of differing areas around Chamonix, including Brevent, Flegere, the famous Grands Montets and Domaine du Balme. The Mont Blanc pass also covers nearby areas including Les Houches, St Gervais, Megeve, Courmayeur and Les Contamines, all within an easy drive. Slightly further afield, but within an hour drive are Verbier, La Thuile, Flaine and Les Carroz. Despite its reputation as an area for experts only, there are plenty of green, blue and red runs to satisfy beginners and intermediates alike. Getting around
The apartment has a private underground car parking space and so visitors are welcome to bring a car. Additional parking will be on the surrounding streets most of which is parking controlled.

There is a train station (Aiguille du Midi) approximately 4 minutes walk away, and the ski bus has one of the largest stops approximately 5 minutes walk away.

It is possible to walk to the Brevent lift, but it is quite a steep climb from the town centre, and it takes about 20 minutes at least from the apartment.

Ferry: Calais: 900.0 km
Most guests arrive via Geneva - be it at the airport or driving from the UK. Either way, the directions to Chamonix from Geneva are very clearly marked and it takes approximately one hour to get to the apartment. Upon arriving in Chamonix, it is best to take the roundabout exit opposite to the Decheterie and follow the Rue Helbronner which eventually comes to a cross roads next to a bridge crossing the River Arve. A turn to the left here brings you on to Avenue de L'Aiguille du Midi. The apartment building where our flat is situated on this road opposite the Morgane Hotel. It is above a laundry facility.
