We have stayed at this apartment on a number of occasions, it's so easy to access all areas on the Cote d'Azure. The beach, train and wonderful Villefranche-Sur-Mer right on your doorstep. Apartment is very nicely furnished with all mod cons, We hope to visit...More

Fabulous location right beside the train station. Beach a few minutes walk. Apartment spotless clean with amazing views. Will stay again sometime.

About the neighbourhood
Along with St Tropez and Cannes, Villefranche is a renowned historic town originating as a fishing village going back beyond the XIII Century and with a Mediaeval Citadel of the XV Century. The old streets and houses are a fascination, with their colourful decoration and 'trompe l'oeils'.

If its Rest & Relaxation you're after, you're in good company! The Russian fleet frequently dropped anchor here in the 18thC - the Royal Navy made it a destination in the 19thC, and the US 5th Fleet thought this was home in the 20thC.

Once tired of exploring the town you'll find Villefranche a perfect base.
Getting around
Nothing beats the luxury of having a private driver with local knowledge. We can organise trips to vineyards, perfume laboratories, markets, chateaus, perched villages and so much more.

if you decide to go for public transport the SNCF train service is excellent and on your front door to whoosh you Beaulieu, Eze, Monte Carlo, Menton and the frontier town of Ventemiglia in Italy, to the east - and Nice, Antibes and Cannes to the west.

The 100 bus service between Cannes and Menton runs close by as does the 81 from Nice to Cap Ferrat.

The nearest airport to Villefranche is Nice (Nice Cote d'Azur) airport, which is serviced by all major airlines including 'low cost' where cars may be rented. Driving along the coastal road (Base Corniche) will take approximately 30 minutes. (NB parking in the 'season' will be a challenge!

Taxis from the airport will cost approximately €65. We can organise a private driver to meet you for the same cost.

Public transport is a little bit more complicated, - but we can advise.
