Set a few blocks back from the Croisette, all the buzz of the city yet only 5 mins walk from an array of sandy beaches. In the heart of the Interior Design quarter of Cannes, Place Lamy is lined with high end design stores and tucked off the main shopping street of rue d'Antibes. Currently eight restaurants and cafes on or around the square. Large supermarket and two mini-markets within 200m. Lively Provencal market at the end of the street for fresh veg, fruit and local produce. Lively pedestrian street rue Hoche a short stroll away. Many sports options available closeby: paddleboarding, waterskiing, paragliding, wakeboarding facilities. Kayaking. Tennis and open-air swimming pool nearby. Running along the waterfront. Golf. Bicycle hire.
Getting around
The best way to see Cannes is on foot. For those wishing to explore the coast, direct trains run regularly from Cannes up the coast to Monaco and as far as the Italian border.
Ferries from the Old Port to Lerins Islands, St Tropez, St Raphael, Monaco
No 8 bus runs along the Croisette stopping in front of the Carlton Hotel from where it is a five minute walk to the apartment.
