Charming two bedroom two bathroom apartment for rent in Paris, renovated in 2011 and located on the first floor of a building (with elevator) once part of the Convent of the Augustins, strategically positioned along the Seine in Saint Germain, at a few steps from Pont Neuf. This elegant 42 sq.mt apartment opens up onto a corridor, decorated with colourful paintings and leading to all the rooms of the property. The first door on the left gives access to a bedroom furnished with a double bed (140 cm), a built-in closet and two bedside tables with black leather surfaces. Back in the corridor, the second door on the left leads to the second bedroom, furnished with a gorgeous grey leather chaise longue, which can be used as a single bed (80 cm), and with a built-in closet. The door is located in a glass wall with iron and wood. This room can be used as a single bedroom obscuring the glass wall with blinds, or as a relax and reading area. On the right of the corridor, you find the second bathroom of the house, decorated with violet mosaics and fitted with shower, sink, bidet and WC. At the end of the corridor is the day area, comprising a fully equipped yellow lacquered kitchen corner, a double sofa bed (140 cm) and a round wrought-iron table with 4 tables, a round coffee table and a very particular abat-jour. The wall at the end of the room is completely made of glass and iron, and it overlooks a quiet garden, the former cloister of the Augustins. An armoured door on the left wall separates the apartment from a dependence with independent entrance. Extra facilities: - Moka - Kettle Area Saint Germain des Prés and the Latin Quarter, the 6th arrondissement and 5th arrondissements respectively, represent the beating heart of the Left Bank. The main arteries are boulevard St Germain, which arcs parallel to the Seine, and boulevard St Michel, which runs perpendicular to it as far south as the Jardin du Luxembourg. St Germain was once a hotspot for thinkers and the literati. South of boulevard St Germain, place St Sulpice is the perfect place for a drink overlooking the church followed by some designer shopping. Rue St-André-des-Arts, rue de Seine, rue du Four, rue de Sèvres and rue du Bac heave with fashion shops, contemporary art galleries and antique shops. At the southern end of rue du Bac is the Bon Marché department store. There is a fantastic food market on rue de Buci and great markets on rue Mouffetard and rue Monge. Public transport Closest metro: PONT NEUF (line 7), ODEON (line 4 and 10) and SAINT MICHEL (RER B). Parking The closest pay parking garage is the Vinci Park Services at 124m in Place Dauphine. Very charming apartment in a superlative location, convenient to more than we could take in over 5 days! Only criticism would be the lack of soap & toilet paper in the bathrooms...after travelling for 16 hours was a bit frustrating to have to go out...More
