About the neighbourhood
Water Newton is a small hamlet of around 40 houses, mostly built of 'Cotswold stone'. We have an historic church dating back to around 1100AD. The remains of Edward Edwards of Mutiny on the Bounty fame, are interred in the church. We have a working waterways lock which sees high River traffic during the boating season. The village is also famous for the discovery of Roman gold and silver in a field adjacent to Mill Lane, called the Water Newton Treasure (now in the British Museum).

How to get there
We are 3 miles North of junction 17 of A1 and 3 miles South of the A1/A47 cross road junction at Wansford. The village is between the A1 and the River Nene with just 2 roads - The Old North Road and Mill Lane, on which we are located towards the bottom, through large electric white gates.
