Gean Tree is a detached single storey cottage which used to be the Castle laundry, so has high ceilings and a large lawn surrounded by a beech hedge. There is a sitting/dining room with an open fire (logs provided) and huge windows. The kitchen also has a table, and original belfast sinks. A double bedroom and a single bedroom, the bathroom has both a large bath and a shower. The cottage is well furnished and equipped and has oil fired central heating. Situated on the shoulder of a hill, with fine views over the Fingask valley. Behind Gean Tree is not only the tennis courts, but also the outdoor heated swimming pool (summer only)
Behind the Castle is a games room with ping pong, snooker table and table football.

Stayed at gean cottage for 4 nights as i was visiting my daughter, was pleasantly surprised .The grounds were beautiful had lovely walks great for dogs,the cottage was lovely and loved my morning swim in there out door pool .will definitely be staying at gean...More

Had a brilliant short break at Gean Tree, lovely cosy cottage with large log fire ( logs supplied) which dog loved. Cottage supplied with everything you need, very comfy seating and bed. Grounds lovely, so quiet and peaceful and no light pollution at night so...More

About the neighbourhood
There are seven Fingask Castle Cottages, ranging from Sir Stuart's House sleeping fourteen to the romantic hideaway, with sauna and rowing boat , known as The Boathouse.

Fingask Cottages are set in 100 acre’s of the historic gardens and woods of Fingask Castle, enjoying southerly views to the Firth of Tay and the hills of Fife beyond. The half mile long drive curves up through the wooded glen and crosses Fingask stream on a high arched stone bridge overlooking St Peter’s Well in the dell below. Fingask is truly a magic place!
Getting around
Fingask is not on any regular bus routes. The nearest stations are Perth and Dundee, both about 20 minutes drive from here by car. The airports are Edinburgh and Glasgow both approximatly 1 hour away.

In short you need a car to enyoy your stay here!

How to get there
Directions for guests. The M90 becomes the A90. About 10 miles after Perth, take the Inchmichael junction turning left sign posted ‘Rait’ soon after the Shell garage, then take next turn right, (from Dundee take A90 towards Perth and after approx 10 miles take slip road to left and over flyover following signs to Rait as follows) signs to Rait until small cross road then instead of following sign straight ahead to Rait turn right, then take the first driveway on left (opposite a white house). Gean Tree at top of main drive bear right and after ‘clothes line’ area turn right and Gean Tree is on the left, key will be in the door.
