Lovely peaceful holiday in beautiful well equipped cottage. Countryside and coastline delightful. Would most definitely recommend.

The centre of St. Andrews is 7 miles away and the medieval - but at the same time cosmopolitan - town offers a lot more than golf itself, with its historic buildings, university, colourful boutique shops, bars and restaurants, not to mention its magnificent award winning beaches, the town is a virtual treasure trove of attractions for tourists of all ages. Dundee is 9 miles away in the other direction where you will find excellent shopping, theatres, museums, galleries, the historic ship RSS Discovery ship and the soon to be open V&A museum of design. Tentsmuir forest and beach are seven miles away, where there are beautiful walks and bird watching on offer at Morton Lochs. The picturesque fishing villages of the East Neuk close by

The East Coast Mainline Railway Station is at Leuchars, 2 miles away with direct links to Edinburgh, London, and Aberdeen. There is a good bus service from Balmullo

From the Forth Road Bridge take the A92 and follow signs to St. Andrews (A91), continue on this road through Cupar. After Cupar the next village you come through is Dairsie, once through Dairsie the is a large roundabout, take the first left sign posted Balmullo, Dundee (A914). Continue on this road through Balmullo and take the second left, sign posted Luclawhill. Continue on this road until then end and take a right onto School Road, continue along School Road to the phone box and turn left. This road will take you up Lucklawhill. Continue until you see the Carmichael centre, run by the The Girl Guides Association on the right. Hamnavoe Cottage is next door, further up the hill. Parking is next to the cottage or across the road.
