Abercromby Place is the perfect example of a Georgian Edinburgh street, unspoiled and thankfully, without too much traffic passing by, yet a short walk to the city's main street, Princes Street. Edinburgh is a very compact city and the majority of attractions can be reached on foot from the apartment. The main transport links - trains, buses and airport trams - are within a 5-10 minute walk away.Inside the apartment there's a spacious south facing living room with high corniced ceilings, a large HD TV and dvd player as well as free unlimited wi-fi. Very spacious flat in an elegant Georgian terrace. Fantastic new bathroom! Everything you could need provided and within a few yards a selection of pubs/restaurants including an excellent chinese practically next door. A short (but steeply uphill) walk takes you to St Andrews Square with...More

This was a very lovely apartment. Certainly central and an easy walk to supermarket, shops and Waverley Station. Also within walking distance of the National Portrait Gallery. Beautiful city, could have stayed much longer. The apartment is very well equipped with everything one could need....More

Excellent location, beautiful apartment. Could not have been better. Walking distance from city centre and tourist attractions and close to a supermarket. Next door to a wonderful Chinese. Would definitely book again.

About the neighbourhood
The house is located within Edinburgh's prestigious Georgian 'New Town'. There are bars, cafes, restaurants, museums, galleries and shops all within a very short walk. The Castle and the attached old town are within 10 mins walk. There is also a huge, gated private garden across the road from the apartment for which you will have access.
How to get there
Arriving by train: Waverley station has four exits. Take the exit on Princes Street and cross the road and head north on St Andrew Street. Continue in the same direction, past St Andrew Square, crossing Queen St and onto Dublin Street. Turn left on to Abercromby Place and the apartment is on the right Arriving by plane The airport is 7 miles (11km) west of the apartment. A taxi direct to the apartment will cost around £25 and can take up to 5 passengers. Trams run from the airport via Murrayfield Stadium stopping at St Andrew Square - £8.50 return. Journey time 35 mins
