Really nice little flat with everything you could need. Conveniently located for the centre of town, only a short walk or bus ride away, but benefits from being far enough out that it's quiet. I'd book again if I needed a place in Edinburgh as it was only a little more than some basic hotel rooms for the same period.

Correcto y acogedor. Lo mejor: la ubicación.
Alojamiento más que correcto, cómodo y acogedor para el frío de Edimburgo. Las camas muy cómodas y las dos habitaciones muy amplias. La cocina con todo lo necesario, aunque hemos echado en falta un tostador de pan, todo lo demás muy bien. Es un tercero sin ascensor (se avisa en el propio anuncio) en un edificio típico escocés algo viejo, pero el alojamiento en sí es más que suficiente para pasar unos días en la ciudad. Lo mejor ha sido la ubicación, nosotros hemos estados ya otras 3 veces en Edimburgo y este ha sido el que mejor ubicación tiene y mejor precio (cuanto más cerca del centro más caro, obviamente). Poder ir andando a la ciudad vieja y todas las atracciones (unos 15min) se agradece muchísimo.
Lo recomiendo 100%

Functional, comfortable flat.
Top floor flat in a nice area between Sciennes and the Meadows and is walking distance to the Commonwealth Pool where we were staying for a swimming competition. Flat was warm and cosy and as described; the set up is a bit different as can be seen in the photos but it means that there is extra sleeping space if required. The double bedroom also has a sofa and TV with Netflix.
A few things could be updated but the important thing for us was that the flat was functional, comfortable and felt safe. Communication with the owner was good.
Free car parking is available across from the flat from Fri night through to Monday am but alternative parking is needed during the week.

Autentiek appartement
Erg genoten van het verblijf in Edinburgh. Het appartement was op loop afstand van het centrum van Edinburgh. Een groot mooi park in de buurt. Het appartement was ook prima. Prima bed en prima douche. Het was rustig in de straat, en het was goed communiceren met de host. Wij zouden het aanbevelen.

Decent festival base in good location
We stayed in the flat for a week during the Fringe. The location is great for the main festival venues, in a nice and quiet area, the flat is comfortable and has all the main facilities you could need. However, a couple of things that are worth mentioning are that the apartment is on the third floor and as it’s a very old building there is no lift. Also, if both rooms are set up as bedrooms there is no sitting room/communal space other than the kitchen. The dining table and TV is in one of the bedrooms and the sofas are in the other bedroom. But the kitchen and bathroom have good amenities. Also the roads nearby require a parking permit during the week so you either have to find a car park for weekdays or drive about a mile or so to park outside of the permit zone. But the best thing about the flat is the very reasonable price for festival accommodation, even if it is “no frills”.

An easy walk to Town
If you enjoy walking, using the public transport then look no further than this authentic self contained apartment in Edinburgh. A short walk to town and the many bus stops in the area. It is on the 3rd floor so something to be aware of if you have any mobility issues. Very clean and tidy, excellent value for money at such a busy time for Edinburgh and great communication from our host. Thank you, we’d happily stay again.

Nur citynah
Von der Wohnung kommt man fussläufig in ca. 10 Minuten in die City. Die Wohnung ist zwar groß, hat aber nur eine minimale zusammengewürfelte Ausstattung und ist an vielen Stellen renovierungsbedürftig.

Purtroppo, nonostante avessimo buone aspettative soprattutto per la posizione, il soggiorno in questa casa si è rivelata una pessima esperienza.
La prima sera siamo rimasti senza acqua calda, il secondo giorno senza luce. Per rispetto ho sempre informato il proprietario dei problemi, seguendo le sue istruzioni anche tramite video e foto. Il proprietario ha sempre risposto e risolto (purtroppo non sempre velocemente, ma è comprensibile che possa avere impegni), però purtroppo il problema è più grande e riguarda la struttura e la manutenzione dell'appartamento: il parquet vecchio con delle tavole che si alzano, l'acqua fredda che non esce dal lavandino della cucina, la finestra che non si chiude in cucina, la porta del bagno che non si chiude, le padelle sporche e incrostate, i tappeti sporchi, la caldaia che puzza di gas, gli asciugamani non piegati e ammucchiati in una borsa in uno stanzino, shampoo finito allungato con l'acqua, porte vecchie e rovinate, la chiave di entrata che fa fatica ad aprire con il rischio che si rompa.
Ho provato a chiedere gentilmente un rimborso al proprietario e mi ha risposto male, accusando me in modo poco educato e offendendo.
Assolutamente da evitare.

Basically flawed review and the purpose to have a free break.
After completing her stay with her boy friend and receiving the damage deposit she requested refund, it was more honest if she contacted me at the time when she entered flat then I could help, I wounder how many times this couple used this trick to get refund! Also I note that people from acertain country are prone to demanding refunds after they leave by making false allegations.

Proprietario poco preciso a dare informazioni sul funzionamento della casa,per prendere le chiavi dal bussolotto ho fatto a sorte in quanto ve ne erano 5, alla fine dopo più tentativi sono riuscito a trovare quella giusta.
Non era indicato che l'appartamento fosse al 3° piano senza ascensore.
Bidone della spazzatura con immondizia presente e sotto il letto fazzoletti sporchi e altri rifiuti.

Read review. Unfortunately he couldn't use the key safe code that is usually very simple. Instruction given 4 digits in 4 slots (no five}. Better if he contacted me.
Next found after they left there are two towels missing! Correspondence with that guest who bought new towels and we reimbursed him are available also trip adviser is party to the reimbursement. Cleaning company very professional thorough in cleaning flat.

Lovely flat, perfect for short-mid term stay
The flat is well presented and modernly furnished, had everything you would need for a nice stay.
Location is superb as it's a mere 3min walk to meadows and its surrounding amenities.

Marchmont is very pleasant,upmarket area of Edinburgh has variety of shops,delicatessens and restaurants on the Known large park Called the Meadows that is bustling with activities during the holiday season also has many bookable tennis courts and sports facilities. Shopping and plenty of restaurants are pleasant short walk from the Flat in South Clarke st with a bustling cofee shops& restaurans just at the corner of the Meadows about less than 100 yards from the flat. University of Edinburgh short walking distance @5 minutes.

All Edinburgh attractions are walking distance. University, museums, cafe houses, Restaurants, Theatres, Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle are walking distance from flat.
