This carefully renovated 18th-century cottage has its own walled terrace and small herb garden, leading to a paddock within a secluded part of the grounds of the owner's home. Scenic local drives/walks overlooking the Vale of Llangollen and the River Dee, with steam railway and horse-drawn narrow boats. The Roman city of Chester is just 20 minutes away, and the two local NT properties - Chirk Castle and Erddig Hall - are both within 4 miles. Golf and riding 4 miles. Leisure centre, climbing and fishing 1 mile. Shops 1 mile.
Living/dining room with wood-burning stove and stable door to terrace. Kitchen with handmade wooden units. First floor: Double bedroom with rustic four-poster bed. Bathroom with shower attachment and toilet.

A very cosy and comfortable cottage with many interesting things to do locally. The secluded garden has many visiting birds and the occasional squirrel. Owners David and Rachel are extremely helpful and friendly. In all an excellent holiday cottage!

Hall Farm Cottages are well located for exploring the beautiful welsh countryside. . You only have to drive through Penycae to be inspired by views of the Llangollen Dee Valley, the Eglwseg Rocks and Dinas Bran Castle. Do not forget to stop for tea and barabrith at Prospect tea rooms. For those of you who are more energetic you can cycle cross country to LLandegla mountain biking centre. Alternatively you might want to kayak the Dee or LLangollen canal. If you have a head for heights take a stroll across the world heritage Pontcysyllte Aqueduct ..

`You can travel by car, motorcycle or bicycle and walk the Clwydian Way .
There is a train station in Ruabon , 6 mins drive from your cottage and there are buses from the train station into Wrexham and Llangollen.

Turn off A483 at junction 1
Follow signs for Ruabon
We are 1 mile from St Marys church (opposite Wynnstay Arms hotel) in Ruabon on the B5097 (Church st. in Ruabon)
Tall sandstone wall on left with wooden gate with small 'Hall Farm' sign on top. Harvest cottage is directly opposite gate across gravelled area.
If you reach a T-junction you have gone 150 metres too far.

If using sat nav, you might arrive from a different direction but the postcode should get you to the T junction of B5097 and Plas Bennion rd. which is 150 metres from the entrance.

There is a train station in Ruabon and shoud you arrive by train please call to make arrangements for us to pick you up from the station. It is 6 minutes away via car
