About the neighbourhood
Betws-y-coed, in Snowdonia has always been a hive of tourist activity. it is situated on the main London to Holyhead route, the A5. Many of the older hotels had stables for all the horse drawn vehicles that used to pass this way.
it is renowned for its central position for touring Snowdonia and all of North Wales. It is very picturesque and there are plenty of eateries without having to travel out of the village.
Getting around
There is a small railway station a 10 minute walk from the cottage. Betws-y-coed does have a network of buses for sightseeing, planning your trips would be advisable though. The Snowdon Sherpa bus offers good value for a trip to the mountains and runs at regular intervals .
