Built around 1840, this cosy cottage is a haven for a single person or a couple. It offers warm and comfortable accommodation all year round in the attractive, sleepy village of Penmachno and makes a great base from which to explore the hill and forest walks in the surrounding area or indeed the whole of Snowdonia. The cottage sleeps up to 2 in one double bedroom with TV and adjacent shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC. There is an open plan living area with modern kitchen with electric cooker, microwave, fridge. Leading off the kitchen is a small paved yard. The sitting area has a wood-burning stove in a large stone fireplace, TV with FreeSat and DVD player. Superfast Broadband Wi-Fi is available for guests The cottage is heated by storage heaters. The peaceful village of Penmachno lies at the heart of Snowdonia National Park in a secluded valley, four miles from Betws-y-coed. For walkers and climbers, Snowdon, the Carneddau, the Glyders, in fact, all of the Welsh 3000ft peaks are within 15 miles. For canoeists, the Conwy, Llugwy, Lledr and Ogwen are only a short drive away. For mountain-bikers, the world class Penmachno track is half a mile away. The Marin track at Llanrwst, Antur Stiniog at Blaenau Ffestiniog and Coed-y-Brenin are easily accessible. North Wales' most beautiful beaches lie 40 minutes drive to the north and west. More

The rural village of Penmachno lies in the beautiful Machno valley, surrounded by stunning countryside; set within Snowdonia National Park and approximately 4 miles from the renowned tourist resort of Betws-y-Coed, North Wales. For mountain bikers, the world-class Penmachno trail starts half a mile from Llondyh; the Marin Trail, Antur Stiniog, Llandegla and Coed-y-Brenin are easily accessible.For canoeists, the Conwy, Llugwy,Lledr and Ogwen are a short drive away. For walkers and climbers, Snowdon, the Carneddau, the Glyders, in fact, all of the Welsh 3000ft peaks are within 15 miles. The cottage sits on the edge of the village and is surrounded by the Gwydyr forest with endless forest walks and horse-riding stables nearby. The beautiful Conwy Falls lies 2 miles away.
How to get there
Own transport is highly recommended. Getting to us by Road From A5, two miles east of Betws-y-coed, at Conwy Falls Cafe, turn onto B4406 towards Penmachno. Follow road through village (approx. 2 miles) , cross bridge, The Eagles is in front of you. Llondy is in the terrace on the other side of the square from the Eagles and John St.
