Jasmine Cottage, newly built in 2014, is a detached cottage set in it's own grounds above a quiet lane at the foot of National Trust owned Velvet Hill. It is perfect for a relaxing break in glorious countryside and is suitable for couples, families or groups of friends. Please note that the cottage may not be suitable for young children due to regulatory fire escape windows in the upstairs bedrooms. Although the cottage has that 'away from it all' feel, it is within easy walking distance of a well stocked farm shop and highly rated bistro, a pub which serves beer brewed on the premises and three pub restaurants. Waymarked footpaths provide some of the best walking in the United Kingdom, right from the doorstep.

We live 35 miles away and we appreciate that what holidaymakers value above all else is privacy, and that is what you get at Jasmine Cottage. However, we remain easily contactable and should the need arise we can be on site within an hour.

Girly catch up with school friends, we have just spent a fabulous weekend in Jasmine cottage. We couldn't fault it. Well equipped for our needs. First night was spent cooking a meal and catching up, we didn't move from the well equipped kitchen diner! First...More

We stayed here for the first time recently, just for two nights and loved it. Nice big 3 bedroom cottage just outside Llangollen. Clean and tidy and very well equipped. Comfy beds and couches and great views from all the windows, and plenty of outside...More

Local attractions include Valle Crucis Abbey, Llangollen canal and Pontcysyllte aqueduct, Llangollen pavilion (home of the International Eisteddfod), Llangollen steam railway (featuring guest appearances by Thomas the Tank Engine!), Plas Newydd (home of the Ladies of Llangollen), the Horseshoe Pass and the North Wales coast.
Getting around
The North Wales Borderlands is a relatively small area of great geographical and geological diversity. The East of the region features spectacular limestone escarpments which have been pushed up against much older slate mountains. Deep river valleys and ice age glaciers have cut spectacular valleys into the mountains creating the wonderful geographical landscape found today.
