The Tops 1 is a 1 bedroomed self contained apartment on the ground floor of a detached house which is divided into 2 separate dwellings.

It comprises of 1 double bedroom with a double bed, a large lounge that opens onto a patio, bathroom and toilet with bath and shower, kitchen/diner with laundry and ironing facilities.

Full gas central heating with instant hot water.

The apartment is fully equipped for self catering with pots, pans, cutlery, crockery and glassware provided. TV, DVD player, radio and free unlimited access to WiFi.

The prices quoted do not include the gas and electricity which is paid for as it is used in £1 coin meters that are in the apartment.

Interaction with guests
The Tops was established in 1980 and is recommended because unlike hotels and guest houses our apartments have the advantage of being self contained and private and are virtually a home away from home. Ideal for visitors who are in Leeds on holiday, visiting friends, or on business.

The personal touch is always present at TheTops, and guests are met on arrival, shown round the accommodation, and met again on departure. On arrival day the guest should contact us and we will arrange to meet them at the address with the keys.

It would also be helpful if they contacted us earlier and advise us what time this is likely to be.

The place is clean and tidy. Furniture and decor could do with updating. Meters for power and gas a complete pain would rather have paid a little more.

Handy for getting around the parts of Yorkshire I wanted to visit.

would recommend but with warnings about quality.

Everything was clean when we arrived and the owner made us feel welcome. The bathroom was new and modern. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed and was modern too. We had internet access and tv (owner cant help for the program ;) ) The heating was working very quickly.
The city is easy to reach via bus. Supermarkets are in walking distance and a couple of nice pubs are just over the road.
Will stay there again. Thanks Mr. Miles for being such a nice host.

About the neighbourhood
Headingley is a very popular area within the City of Leeds. Our location is situated within walking distance of 5 restaurants (2 are across the road), and 3 pubs as well as all the shopping areas.

Leeds itself is full of historical interest and has it's own places of interest to visit such as the Leeds Museums, and Art Gallery as well as the Royal Armouries, the new City Centre shopping areas and the Leeds Theatres. Our location is also within easy reach of St. James's Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary, Yorkshire Television, Leeds United, Leeds University, and the new Leeds Arena.
Getting around
Otley Road is a main trunk road going from the City Centre to Otley, Ilkley, and Skipton. There are 7 bus routes that go past our premises on their way to and from the City Centre and the bus stops right outside The Tops.

Airport: Leeds/Bradford: 10.0 km
Railway: Leeds City Railway Station: 3.0 km
By taxi from the City Centre or by one of the many buses. The bus stop is right outside the accommodation. By car take the A660 out of the City Centre. After 2 miles the name of the road has become Otley Road. After passing the main shopping centre look out for no. 153 which is on the left with a bus stop outside.

The easiest way from the Airport is by taxi. It is only 6.5 miles (10 km) away and takes 10 -15 minutes.
