Our delightful 19th century cottage offers a cosy retreat and has a wealth of comfort and character. It is situated at the heart of the tiny secluded village of Clifford Chambers with its 20 mph limit no through road and with the peaceful winding River Stour and elegant Manor House nearby. It is thought by some that the Old Rectory in the village was Shakespeare’s real birthplace.Why not book for a special weekend - we are happy to supply extra personal touches. The beamed living/dining room with terracotta tiled floor has a large inglenook with log burner, Freeview TV, free WiFi, a small DVD collection and range of reference books. A small step up leads to the snug, a room for rest and recuperation and the home of part of the owners’ personal library.

It was our third stay and we will be back. Cosy, clean and homely. Very quiet and no street lights so we slept well! Local pub (the New Inn) great and very friendly. Stratford not far at all and loved staying slightly out of the...More

Back at our home from home cottage and currently here. i could stay here forever. Lovely cottage and everytime seems to get better. there is a small social.club next door and after popping in on our previous stays we are now recognised which is lovely....More

loved pur anniversary weekend away here. we arrived on a very cold day and the heating had been put on for our arrival. again we wish we could stay longer. will be booking up again in july. lovely social club next door where we were...More
