Aldeburgh, Suffolk, East Anglia, England
Close to the beach and short walk to the interesting ancient fishing town of Aldeburgh. Traditional pubs, the best Fish and Chips in Britain and lots of other restaurants, shops and art galleries make this a great location for relaxing holidays for walking and bird watching and chillaxing from the stress of everyday life.

Aldeburgh is a cultural centre with the world famous music festival at Snape Maltings, its own theatre and cinema with events such as the annual carnival, boules contests and yachting races. Best of all the opportunity to explore one of the most historic parts of Britain.

About the neighbourhood
Aldeburgh is a charming historic seaside resort with many fine Georgian houses and buildings. The town was a medieval fishing port which continues today. If you are an early riser you can see fishermen still pull their colourful boats up on the shingle beach and sell fresh fish from the picturesque huts on the front. Fish does not come fresher.

Aldeburgh and the surrounding area, ”the heritage coast”, has inspired many authors and poets in the past but the most famous son of the town is Benjamin Britten, who founded the Aldeburgh Music Festival, which now has worldwide acclaim and is held every year in June at Snape Maltings. The wide, mainly Georgian high street has many attractive buildings and very individual shops, art galleries and a cinema. There are many restaurants and pubs which...
