Oakley House has extensive, uninterpreted views of the Aldeburgh seafront and have immediate access onto the beach. Accommodation is arranged over three floors, although the main living areas are on the ground and first floor.

Getting around
Once you're in Aldeburgh all facilities are at your fingertips.
However, just a short distance from Aldeburgh you can visit a small seaside village of Thorpeness where you can hire a sailing dingy or rowing boat and take to the water on Thorpeness Meare.
Alternatively, visit the House in the Clouds; the charming seaside town of Southwold some 20 miles from Aldeburgh; take a trip to Snape Maltings that houses many musical and cultural events but also includes shops, visitors centre, tea room and restaurant.
Just to mention only a few things to do while you are in the area and there are so many other things to do.

Today though Aldeburgh is best known as both a popular holiday destination and an artistic and literary centre - as a result of its association with Sir Benjamin Britten.
