We live about 20 mins from The wilderness, so near enough to pop over if there's a problem, but far enough away not to intrude on your stay! Arrival and departure times are flexible, as we have a key safe system, so you can turn up as you like, and not worry about meeting deadlines.

What an absolutely fantastic space for relaxation and socialising. Owner (Jo) was great throughout booking process and information about the property. Fantastic property. We had a wonderful weekend at the Wilderness the house was extremely well maintained with beautiful gardens. Everything was spotlessly clean and fresh. We supply bed linen (except cot bedding), duvets, pillows, dish drying cloths and bath towels (1 per guest).
Electricity, cooking gas, barbecue gas and the first Sauna are all included in the price Central heating oil is metered and charged at the end of your stay (autumn/winter only).

Cleaning materials are supplied for your end of stay clean, these are all under the sink in each kitchen. Please leave these for the next guests.

We do not supply any other consumables. These include, washing up liquid, loo rolls, dishwasher tablets,, etc etc. There are often left over consumables from previous guests and we just leave these as 'rolling stock' for the next guests.

About the neighbourhood
The magnificent Longleat House and safari park are just 10 mins away. We are just 40 mins from Stonehenge and Salisbury and 30 mins from Bath by road. Westbury Railway Station is 1 mile away with regular direct trains to Bath (20 mins) & London (90 mins). The M4 and M5 are only 30-40 mins away. The local Pub with its fine real ales and superb food is just a short walk across the fields. There are many excellent golf courses in the area (see our own website).
Getting around
Trains - Westbury station (1.5 miles from house) has direct links to Bath, Bristol, London, Brighton, Birmingham.
Bath by train is 20 mins, salisbury 40, Bristol too.
Buses - a bit infrequent, but they do run between Salisbury and Bath.
Minibus is by far the best way to get in to Bath for a night out £200 return for a 16 seater!

Airport: Bristol: 45.0 km
Railway: Westbury: 1.5 km
Ferry: Poole: 70.0 km
Follow the directions below and then look for the large converted church on the side of the road. Turn there in to Church Road. The Wilderness is number 13, about 500 metres (yards) on the left hand side just past the phone box.

From London or Heathrow Airport....Take the M4 motorway West to Junction 17. Follow A350 past Chippenhamand Melksham towards Westbury. At Yarnbrook roundabout (look for 'The Hungry Horse' pub) turn Left. Turn right after about a mile, beside the large church, into Church Road.
