The Granary is a recently renovated stone barn on our smallholding on the edge of the historic village of Richards Castle, named after Richard Fitz Scrob’s castle, one of the few pre Norman castles in England.

The barn has retained all of its charm whilst offering a luxurious and welcoming stay in the beautiful countryside of the Herefordshire / Shropshire borders.Perfectly placed for exploring the area close to many national and local walking and cycle routes that criss cross the landscape including the Shropshire Way and the Six Castles Cycleway (including Richards Castle) as well as the picturesque black and white villages and market towns of Shropshire and Herefordshire.

Spent a lovely week in this spacious well equipped and spotlessly clean cottage. Peaceful setting with beautiful views from the balcony across farmland towards the Mortimer Forest. The cottage maintains the charm of a country house yet fully equipped with modern comfort. The view from the balcony was to die for, and there are a lot of lovely places to visit near by. Julian and Jane were really friendly and helpful too.
