This delightful one bedroom studio apartment, consisting of the ground floor of a stone-built terraced cottage, is in a most convenient location, close to the River Greta and Fitz Park, and within easy walking distance of all Keswick's amenities, Derwentwater, the Theatre by the Lake and the Leisure Pool.
Start day is Friday for full week bookings. Short breaks available outside the peak summer weeks starting on Fridays, Mondays or Tuesdays. Five or six night stays are offered at a discount from the quoted multiple of the daily rate so please contact me for a quotation.
It is an ideal base from which to explore this superb part of the Lake District, whether on foot, bicycle or by car. There is a wonderful variety of walks available right from the door and good local bus services so that a car is not necessary. There is free car park...

This apartment was spacious and well appointed with all a traveler could wish for. We stayed for a week at this apartment. It has full size well equipped kitchen, a small but adequate shower room and a comfortable and homely lounge / bedroom area with a really comfortable bed. You have access to a small private out side space...More

About the neighbourhood
Garden Apartment is only a few minutes level walking distance to the shops, pubs, restaurants and attractions of Keswick. Just over the road and the footbridge across the River Greta lies Fitz Park, with its riverside meadows, woodland and gardens, tennis courts, bowling greens and superlative children’s play area. The magnificently refurbished Victorian museum has a cafe that looks over the park. A few metres away is the tropical leisure pool with its slide and wave machine. And ten minutes walk brings you to the Theatre By The Lake which has a most varied and interesting programme of plays, music and events to suit all tastes throughout the year.
Getting around
Keswick is a wonderful centre for walkers, climbers, cyclists, water sports enthusiasts and lovers of the landscape. As well as catering for all these interests close by, being the transport hub of the North Lakes the attractions of the rest of the Lake District are easily reached. If you want to leave the car behind the local bus services or the Derwentwater launches are great for taking you to the start of a walk or bringing you back when you've gone as far as you want.

Railway: Penrith North Lakes: 27.0 km
The nearest junction on the M6 to Keswick is Penrith Junction 40, from which there is a scenic 17 miles journey west on the A66. There is an hourly bus service from Penrith Railway Station to Keswick. If coming from the south the journey through the Lakes from Junction 36 is also very scenic and takes only a few more minutes except at busy times. Windermere Railway Station (21 miles) also has an hourly bus service and train fares to to Windermere are often cheaper than to Penrith.
