The Old Vicarage is 4 Star Gold Award and is situated in the beautiful Naddle valley, some two miles south of Keswick in the Lake District. The Old Vicarage was built around 1850 and was the vicarage for St Johns-in-the-vale church until 1999. The lakeland stone house sits in good sized grounds, with superb uninterrupted views to the nearby fells of St John-in-the-vale and Helvellyn.
It is in an ideal location to explore the Lake District National Park, being close to both Keswick and less than 10 miles to Grasmere. Penrith railway station is less than 12 miles and there is a regular bus service passing the house. Excellent walks can be had from the house to High and Low Rigg or Castlerigg Stone Circle, as well as the more demanding Helvellyn and Blencathra and the surrounding fells. Have stayed here a number of times and it never disappoints. Spacious house with breathtaking views, our most recent stay was over the Easter break with a group of 12 people. Well placed near Keswick for climbing the surrounding mountains and days out. Will definitely...More

This is the 5th time we have visited this property so I think this tells you everything you need to know.....plus....the main lounge has now been redecorated....another plus point!!! I will be rebooking for November.
