Culdene, a self contained, self catering spacious apartment, is the bottom floor of a detached cottage set on the slopes of the local beauty spot Warton Crag. There are many walks around and from half way up our field you can enjoy the panoramic views around Morecambe Bay. There is plenty of parking and in the historic village of Warton are two inns serving food, both within easy walking distance. We are central for visiting the Lakes to the north, Yorkshire Dales east and the wilds of the Trough of Boland to the south. The bedroom can have either a 6ft wide super king or two 3ft single beds.

Spent 3 nights in this lovely property, with very comfortable bed and lounge chairs . Lots of quality bedding and towels available .Kitchen met all our needs for equipment/utensils with a nice touch of various complimentary extras left for us on arrival -ie milk-butter-biscuits and fruit .Bathroom recently renovated to a high standard . Our Labrador enjoyed the spacious lounge...

Beautiful setting, garden looking onto fields yet a little village at end of the driveway. 2 pubs within walking distance. Lovely canal walk 5 mins drive away. While the accommodation lacks modern decor, it exceeds in charm. Extremely clean and well presented. Biscuits, tea, coffee, milk, fruit provided. Very relaxing weekend away with a friend...And dog friendly too! Will be...

We stayed 10/11-12/11/2017 and we really enjoyed our stay. Although the accommodation is traditional there’s everything you would find in something modern if not much more. The host went out of their way to show us around and left lots of essentials including milk, butter and fruit. Lovely area and a pub within a few minutes walk. Would stay again...

Airport: Manchester: 112.0 km
Railway: Carnforth: 3.0 km
The best way to reach Culdene is to come off the M6 at J35 and take the slip road signed Over Kellet/Kirkby Lonsdale then turn right for Carnforth passing over the motorway bridge, carry on over the traffic lights at Canal Bridge and over the traffic lights into the main street of Carnforth soon passing the station on the left. Keep on the same road for about 2 miles and enter Warton. Culdene sign should be visible in the trees on the left as you enter the narrow bend with no pavements. Please go up the STRAIGHT drive to the car park where we will be waiting to welcome you..
Should you arrive by train we can meet you at the station in Carnforth.
