Wythburn has also been accorded 'Families Welcome' and 'Pets Welcome' status by Visit England meaning we provide additional facilities, equipment and information for guests and in recognition that its large private off road gardens provide plenty of room to run around outside!

A private garden area and sandstone steps down to its front terrace give access to Wythburn’s oak floored entrance hall and cathedral ceilinged massive breakfasting kitchen. This unique conversion incorporates a first floor reception room with cast iron fire and a sandstone framed opening looking back down into the double height kitchen area. It has a massive first floor Master Bedroom suite and two private ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor which open into the gardens.

About the neighbourhood
Wythburn Cottage is located in Blencowe, near Greystoke. The closest lake is Ullswater, one of the deepest and the longest lake in the national park. It is surrounded mountains and there are great walks easily accessible from the Hall. The Boot and Shoe Pub in Greystoke is about 1.5 miles down the road and has a great atmosphere and excellent local food. There is also a village post office shop in Greystoke and a recently refurbished open heated swimming pool. Greystoke Castle and its 3000 acre estate is in Greystoke and the deer park of the Castle is open for public walks.

There is plenty of parking at Wythburn Cottage which is surrounded by its own 30 acres of grounds and extensive gardens.

• From the South; leave the M6 at J40 and take the 3rd exit onto the A592
• From the North; leave the M6 at J40 and take the 1st exit onto the A592
• Stay in the left lane. At the mini roundabout take the 1st exit onto Haweswater Road.
• Follow the road for approx. 0.8 miles (2 mins) through the industrial estate to the next T-junction / mini round about.
• Turn left onto the B5288 (Newton Road). Follow for approx. 2.5 miles (4 mins).
• After approx. 2.5 miles fork right (in front of The Clickham Inn public house) and follow Park View Road for approx. 1.6 miles (4 mins).
• Drive into Blencowe village, over the small stone bridge and turn immediately left and then left again.
